## Testnet Update

We deployed the entire server, client, and CDN infrastructure to production  – connected to the Ropsten testnet. We also deployed our set of contracts to the Ropsten testnet as well, including our:

- ERC721 contract
- ERC20 contract
- Clock Auction contract

I've been testing the UI on the testnet and have been deploying a few fixes before we start inviting everyone to test the app.

## Participating in the Testnet

The UI and art are in their early stages, but the contract is very solid. We will be writing up some instructions on how to set up your wallet and participate in the Testnet.

We'll help provide some rETH (Ropsten testnet ETH) and some $DREM to users to get started.

Participants should be ready to:

- Report bugs
- Provide feedback

## Card Designs

We are hard at work creating new designs and reaching out to designers to draw more complicated characters as well. Special thanks to money_pit_rsx for providing lore, concept images, and more to get our design pipeline going. Also special thanks to Salabraithe for creating new slime faces, hats, and other designs.

## Roadmap

We've added a few items to our Roadmap: lore unlocks and card effect unlocks that will be released when the Card Game is completed.

We've deployed the core of the UI for Auctions to our testnet set up. You can now create an auction, view current auctions, bid on auctions and cancel auctions.

All Auctions on the Dark Emblem Dapp are Clock auctions, you can read more on our docs.

We added a $DREM collection preview to the app. This will show you an estimate of how much $DREM you will collect when you collect $DREM for the season. The contract code for that has not been deployed to the testnet yet.

We've made a bunch of minor updates to the contract that don't affect the core functionality. We are saving all the minor contract updates for a single deployment after the initial testnet trial.

Updates include improved gas, plans for IPFS, and cheaper costs to deploy.

Security around Smart Contracts is important and we take it very seriously. Almost every State of Play update has some reference to security, and that's because every week we check to make sure we are following best practices, our code is tested, and we are not using any vulnerable packages.

Stability is also important. Our current system generates card art after the card has been minted. We know how important it is to see the cards you just paid money for, so we are working to make sure our servers are stable, and if something does go wrong, we have remediations already in place.
